To promote and coordinate the advancement of the road transport industry in Zimbabwe and adjacent territories in the best interest of the members of the Association and the general public.
As a certified employer’s organization in terms of the Act, the TOAZ strives to enhance the image, efficiency, productivity & competitiveness of the transport operating industry and in so doing establish a healthy business environment through the promotion of highway safety and educational programs.

Foster sound industrial relations within the law and encourage the settlement of disputes by conciliatory methods.
Promote, support or oppose, as may be beneficial, any proposed legislation or other measures affecting the interests of members.
Co-operate or affiliate with any other body, person or group having objectives similar to those of the Association. This is particularly the case with other national associations in the region.
Provide a quality information service to members particularly on industrial relations and road, motor & transportation legislation.
Improve the effectiveness of the private sector’s role in shaping public sector policies affecting the Transport Industry and offer members a cost effective service portfolio which enhances their individual performances and competitiveness.
Promote the integration and collaboration between players of all sizes and backgrounds and serve as the competence center to enhance industrial performance.
Provide the link between government departments, government agencies, regional bodies and transport operators.
